1. Describe Color and it's effect on emotions. Use the appropriate vocabulary of color in your posting.
Colors and emotions have an effect on each other. This because different colors are coded for different emotions. For example, in the first video Color, the lightning has an effect on the colors which may have an effect on how the artist feels about the artwork. In the second video, Do You See What I see? The Science of Color Perception, stated that people emotion towards colors depend on the experience they had with that color. It also stated that it depends on the way different cultures or areas of the world perceives that color.
2. What is a theoretical aspect of color that most intrigues/fascinates you? Why?
A theoretical aspect of color that most fascinates me is warm and cool colors. This fascinates me because we associate the colors based on what we see them as. For example, orange would be seen as a warm color because it associates with fire. The color blue would be associated with a cool color because of water or the sky.
3. In the Color video, what made the biggest impact on you in regards to color and it's effect on emotions?
The biggest impact was that artist use certain colors in order to capture certain emotions. For example, Van Gogh tried to use this technique by using different colors red and green to portray terrible feelings within his piece. Another example was Mark Rothko, he used the color red to make people feel like they are trapped. It gave me an insight feel of what is going on within the artwork.
